MEET CURTIS
Curtis is proud to have lived in Aurora for most of his life. In fact, he has lived in 5 of Aurora's 6 wards and all three of his daughters were born in Aurora at University Hospital.
Growing up, Curtis attended both Aurora Public and Cherry Creek Schools. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management (Specializing in Public & Non-Profit Management) as well as a Master of Finance Degree (Accounting Specialization). He graduated as a Distinguished Scholar.
Throughout his career, he has worked in various management positions. This has given him valuable experience in creating jobs, managing complex projects and juggling competing responsibilities. Curtis worked in a local Credit Union for 14 years and now does public sector work in the solid waste industry.
Outside of work, Curtis has always been active in the community, volunteering and serving on various boards & community groups including:
-Aurora Citizens Advisory Budget Committee
-Briarcliff at Seven Hills Homeowners Association
-Mountain West Credit Union Association Denver Chapter
-Aurora Cultural Arts District
Curtis is passionate about the success and sustainability of Aurora. In his first term, he's worked hard to make Aurora a place where residents can thrive and he is excited continue that work for another four years.
